Nothing is Something and More

Exploring Tanka

1.

Nothing is something
when emptiness is freedom
to confront ourselves
and then to emerge as the
creatures we really must be.

2.

The first roses of
the year have us waxing on
beauty and more. Those
heady times do wane, yes, while
our earth-bound lives blossom on.
