Strength in Seeing Your Bloom

To this flower

Life is whirring along,
then
wham. Two deaths
in two weeks, and not just

physically. But then
last night
in the yin and yang of things,
without fanfare,

you.

And I
thank you.
For your slender form,
your clarity.

Your glimmer.
That green.
I know you’re gone now, too,
and I

never got
your name.
But I
thank you.
